INFINITY @ LUZA FESTIVAL
INFINITY was building the bridge between our planet and the universe, which is strongly related to the question of our being and the existance of higher powers and therefore adapted the basic intention of the local church "Capela de Nossa Senhora da Piedade" in Loulé as one of the highlights at the annual LUZA Festival.
As part of the visual & lighting team "The Core." I was invited to create this monumental live installation which embraced the visible and the fictional to create a unique and permanently changing artwork that combines 360° mapping projection on the given architecture of the church with a full circle of 12 movinglights in combination with sound.
From distance the circular moving skybeams defined the church as centerpiece on the hill that visually connected with the sky and the universe by sending out its rays into INFINITY. The mapping-projection was adapted to the architectural structure of the building and closed the gap between the sky and earth by its content which was specially produced and live remixed according to the soundscapes created by myself.
The combination of lights and projection enabled us to create a piece of art that became an eyecatcher from near aswell as from the distance for every visitor and created a keyvisual for LUZA Festival and the City of Loulé.
INFINITY schuf eine Brücke zwischen unserem Planeten und dem Weltraum, die sich audiovisuell mit der Frage nach unserem Dasein und der Existenz höherer Mächte auseinandersetzte. Die Ortskirche "Capela de Nossa Senhora da Piedade" in Loulé war das Bindeglied und zählte mit einer 360° Maooing- und Lichtshow zu den Highlights des alljährlichen LUZA Licht-Festivals.
Als Teil des Visual & Lighting Teams "The Core." war ich eingeladen, diese monumentale Live-Installation zu erschaffen, die das Sichtbare und das Fiktionale kombiniert, um ein einzigartiges und sich ständig veränderndes temporäres Kunstwerk zu schaffen, das eine 360°-Mapping-Projektion auf die gegebene Architektur der Kirche mit einem vollen Kreis aus 12 Movinglights in Kombination mit Sound kombinierte.
Aus der Ferne definierten die sich kreisförmig bewegenden Skybeams die Kirche als Herzstück auf dem Hügel, die dadurch visuell mit dem Himmel und dem Universum verbunden war. Die Strahlen in die Unendlichkeit des Weltraums aussendend, schloß die Mapping-Projektion die Lücke zwischen Himmel und Erde, kmombiniert mit den von mir produzierten und live geremixten audiovisuellem Content.
Die Kombination aus Licht und Projektion ermöglichte es uns, ein Kunstwerk zu schaffen, das für jeden Besucher sowohl aus der Nähe als auch aus der Ferne zum Blickfang wurde und ein Keyvisual für das LUZA Festival und die Stadt Loulé erschuf.
