REFLECT CITY

I can´t stop looking at it. It´s not the traffic light itself that gains my attention, it´s the reflection of the lights on the floor when they jump from red to orange to green.

Using reflections in photography can lead to stunning effects and abstract colorful images. With the reflections of citylights on a rainy street during the blue hour opens a mesmerizing perspective and make it possible to capture and freeze silence and continuity in the image, while the city slowly wakes up.

The wonderful thing about using reflections when taking photos is that they can completely alter the image from something fairly straightforward to something abstract and more artistic.
The art form of making surreal photographs without photoshop just by using common elements of WYSIWYG is something worth to keep yourself creative.

The shimmer of reflections that are permanently emitted by city posters, light installations, traffic lights, bus stops and passing cars and thus picked up by shiny structures made of concrete, cobblestones or tar is difficult to grasp as special - but it is a constant in everyday urban areas Processes that are normally just perceived by our subconscious as an ordinary image and are stored as recurring stringent elements.

On closer inspection, however, this abstract photo series opens up a new perspective on something very everyday that is worth taking a closer look at.
