THE REAL SILVERSURFER
THE REAL SILVERSURFER is an experimental photoseries focusing on the fusion of fiction and reality.
Based on the comic novel "Silversurfer" by Marvel Comics, I started my inspiration research and ended up with combining experimental mapping projection and a real surf model.
Once we had the white morphsuit, it was only a question of finding the matching background illustrations which were reproduced upfront, inspired by NASA space shots and the hand drawn comic-graphics.
By combining mapping projection and handheld side-lights to highlight the model, the fusion of digital images and real action sports came alive.
This series was shot at the studio and combines different media techniques to capture the Sci-Fi scenario in a most realistic look.
THE REAL SILVERSURFER ist eine experimentelle Fotoserie, die sich auf die Verschmelzung von Fiktion und Realität konzentriert.
Basierend auf dem Comic-Serie "Silversurfer" von Marvel Comics begann ich meine Inspirationsrecherche und endete damit, experimentelle Mapping Projektion und ein echtes Surfmodell zu kombinieren.
Als wir den weißen Morphsuit hatten, ging es nur noch darum, die passenden Hintergrundillustrationen zu finden, die ich im Vorfeld inspiriert von NASA-Weltraumaufnahmen und den handgezeichneten Comic-Grafiken angefertigt hatte.
Durch die Kombination von Mapping-Projektion und handgeführtem Licht zur Hervorhebung des Modells wurde die Verschmelzung von digitalen Bildern und echtem Actionsport zum Leben erweckt..
Diese Serie wurde im Studio produziert und kombiniert verschiedene Medientechniken, um das Sci-Fi-Szenario in einem möglichst realistischen Look einzufangen.
